Dr. Stilwell is a gubernatorial appointee on the GENEDGE Alliance Board of Trustees.  STR continues work with the GENEDGE Alliance to bring technology jobs to Virginia.  Governor McAulliffe's efforts to build a new Virginia economy rely heavily on small technology businesses, and STR and its leadership are committed to bringing jobs to Southwest Virginia and all other areas of our great home state.

STR is absolutely committed to job creation, certification, and workforce development in the Commonwealth of Virginia.  We support our great citizens, and especially our work-minded young men and women with technology sector training, curriculum development, and paid internships.

STR has developed and conducted FAA Ground Pilot curriculum and class instruction in preparation for the federal Pilot in Command examination.   Germanna and Lord Fairfax Community Colleges provide STR instructed courses for FAA licensing preparation.

STR's  MT1 student pass rate is 6 out of 7 for the first course at Lord Fairfax Community College.  The standard pass rate is 50%.  STR provides outstanding instruction for students looking to mprove their wage earning certification.  The MT1 certification is accepted in 14 states and there is financial support available for many students through community colleges.  manufacturingskillsinstitute.org has great information on an exciting career beginning through manufacturing skill certification.

STR is now delivering curriculum and course instruction at community colleges throughout Virginia.  Currently, STR is teaching Manufacturing Technology Level 1 Certification at Lord Fairfax Community College, Blue Ridge Community College, and Germanna Community College.  STR has delivered drone curriculum for agriculture, transportation, and construction that can be used by any community college in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

STR continues robust workforce development program support at community colleges and secondary schools.  Debbie Palmer is developing support for the George Mason University Gaming Academy.

STR has a robust internship program that employs university and high school students. Our interns over the past two years are high school and university students, with paid internships employing young professionals who are now attending:
George Mason University, Northern Virginia Community College, The University of Virginia, The United States Air Force Academy, Auburn University, New York University, Boston University, Lebanon Valley College, Worcester Polytechnic University, Virginia Tech, James Madison University, The University of Virginia at Wise, and more.

STR is now Manufacturing Technology Level 1 Certified by the Manufacturing Skills Institute.  Additionally, STR passed the Manufacturing Skills Certification examination.

STR has developed and delivered drone-based agricultural surveying and photogrammetry curriculum for Germanna Community College.  Additionally, STR developed a factory floor industrial machine training film for Green Applications in Gordonsville, VA under contract with Germanna.

STR developed a cyber skills interest application for middle schoolers.  The rights have been purchased by the Center for Innovative Technology in Northern Virginia.

24 September 2015 - STR announces its beginnings of contracted robotics expertise to Northern Virginia Community College and STEM events throughout Virginia.  STR will also make a significant effort to bring robotics and cyber STEM education to Southwest Virginia.  We remain dedicated to the development of jobs for our great Virginians!
